Directors
Our Directors are made up of working professionals and experts. They each bring with them different skills and experiences to help guide us and are all committed to the values of Health & Happiness.
Chairperson – Kenneth MacLennan

Kenneth is an individual who has experience of using learning disability services in the Highlands. He is also a member of People First - this is an organization run by experts with support from advisors. Their main aim is to improve the lives of experts living in the Highlands.
Kenneth is also a member of Highland Tenants Advisory Group.
Tenants of
Key Housing are actively involved in the organizations decision making. Most important of all Kenneth is one of the founder members of Health & Happiness and has worked with the group since November 1999. He was also one of our original partners.
Kenneth’s role is an expert advisor.
Vice Chair - Uisdean MacRae
Uisdean is an individual who has experience of using learning disability services provided in the Highlands. He is a member of People First – an organization run by adults with a learning disability with support of advisors. Their main aim is to improve the lives of people with a
learning disability living in Highland. Uisdean is also a member of the Inverness Local Implementation Group for ‘The Same as You’. Uisdean was also one of our original partners and is also an expert advisor.
Treasurer – Charles Wilson
Charlie Wilson is a partner in a multi-media organization – TV-Aye. This is based in the North of Scotland. Charlie has experience in corporate and broadcast television. This includes work for the BBC, Scottish & Grampian Television and Channel 4. He has also provided facilities for many broadcasters throughout Europe and internationally.
Charlie has worked with Health & Happiness over the last 3 years and has
produced 2 videos for us. He is currently working on a healthy eating DVD/cookbook and ‘our stories’ DVD.
Charlie has built up a great working relationship with members of our group. He has also trained many to use specialized filming equipment. As Charlie made such a huge impact on us we approached him to become a Director. Charlie’s role involves taking responsibility for external communications.
Director responsible for Finance - David Garden
David has been employed by NHS Highland for a number of years as
an Accountant. David possesses great people skills and manages a large staff. David has had knowledge of
Health & Happiness from the days when we
were first housed by NHS Highland at Assynt House and shares our passions and beliefs.
Director Human Resources - Cheryl Williams
Cheryl helps oversee the human resource side of Health & Happiness.
This includes things like management of staff and
policies and
procedures. Cheryl has experience of advocacy and understands how important it is for an individual to be heard.
